WeeChat, the extensible chat client. Fast. Light. Modular.

Weechat is command line IRC client using ncurses interface with many features and can be extended using plugins and various scripts.

Here you can download packages for puppy linux, I compiled this on PL 4.2.1 and should work on puppies 4.0-4.2.1 (tested to work on 4.3 beta2 too)
If you miss dependencies like libiconv or ncurses, you can also download pets
